Purchases and delivery
When you buy directly from this website, your email address and order information are used to process the purchase, deliver your book, and provide support. Stripe handles payment details. Cloudflare hosts fulfillment and private digital files, and Resend sends order and delivery emails. For available printed-book orders, your recipient name, shipping address, delivery email, phone number, and selected shipping method are shared with Lulu and its delivery providers to quote, print, and ship your copy. We keep the order and shipping status so we can help with delivery problems. We also retain order-email provider references and available delivery or failure status for support. We do not use tracking pixels to measure when you open order emails. We do not store your full card details on this website. Buying alone does not add you to the reader list. If you choose the optional checkbox before checkout, we use your checkout email to add you after successful payment. Your download is available whether or not you choose to join.
The reader list
If you sign up, we save your email address, the updates you selected, when you agreed, and the version and source of the consent wording. For an optional checkout signup, we also retain a reference to the consent event so a payment retry cannot add you twice. A general signup covers book news and occasional notes from Vijay. A paperback, hardcover, or Kindle release signup covers the availability of that edition. We do not sell the list. Reader-list records are stored in the site’s private Cloudflare database through Sites. Access is restricted to the site owner.
You can unsubscribe using the link included in a reader-list email, or contact the support address above. An unsubscribe keeps a minimal suppression record so we can respect your choice. To request deletion of your reader-list record, email us. Necessary order records are handled separately.
Keeping the forms working
To limit automated abuse, the signup service temporarily keeps a hashed network identifier and a request count. It is not used for advertising and expires within two days. This site does not set advertising cookies or add you to marketing audiences when you browse. The sample film loads when you choose to play it.
Website measurement
We measure which pages and sections visitors view, visible active time, sample playback, purchase clicks, and verified direct book purchases. Records use a random browser-session identifier and broad device category. A referring website hostname and campaign tags help us understand how readers find the book. Analytics records contain no payment email, raw network address, full referring URL, or advertising profile. They are kept for up to 90 days. We cannot see whether you listen to a downloaded audiobook, and Amazon purchases are not linked to your site session.
Measurement respects Global Privacy Control. You can also turn it off on this browser below. Blocking analytics does not affect the book sample, checkout, or your purchase.
Your private reader
Private purchase links let you read or listen on this site and download your editions. We record access and download requests to provide delivery and support, and save your reading and listening position so you can resume. Optional activity sharing records playback time and active reading time in the browser, associated with your order. It is off until you choose to enable it and respects Global Privacy Control. The site owner can view these delivery records and any activity you choose to share alongside your order. Activity records are kept for up to 90 days; saved positions expire after 90 days without an update. These records cannot establish whether you finished a download, paid attention, or listened to a file in another app. Private links remain available for their stated period; opening the reader does not extend that period.
Owner access
A secure sign-in cookie keeps the site owner signed in to the private dashboard. It is not set for ordinary visitors. Access can be ended by signing out or resetting the owner password.
